Through this project, I explored the country music culture presence on the territory of the New Brunswick, to address the realities and peculiarities of its own. I was interested by this local culture in which the sea, the territory and the identity, are recurring themes in country music Acadian’s songs. By combining texts of songs, little stories from sound archives and extracts of interviews with local singers, I addressed the possible repercussions of the Acadian collective imagination on this specific musical culture.
