These videos are part of a video series Devenir et être le héros (2008-2010), in which I impersonate various popular male characters from 40s-70s country western Quebec culture. I transpose and personify them as a woman in today’s society. Based on interviews and the song “Le petit Noël Canadien” interpreted with my family, I create a context of docufiction which captures the construction of a myth.
